Top ten

1. The Philadelphia Phillies (and on a related note, the Florida Marlins). And goddamn if watching these games doesn't feel like watching a playoff game.
2. Doing karaoke at a crappy Baltimore bar with a judge who may or may not be the basis for a character on The Wire
3. Springsteen's Magic , and specifically "Girls in Their Summer Clothes", which, yes Drew, lives up to the promise of its title
4. The Killer's "Read My Mind". This song still gets me, however many months later.
5. The magic of digital cable
6. Okkervil River on Sunday, and the charity of certain people
7. The Sound Garden and their awesomely cheap CDs
8. My father's chicken paprikash
9. The New Pornographers' Challengers
10. The next two weekends in New York City

We thought we lost you. Welcome back.

Dear internet,

I'm sorry it's been so long. I have so much to tell you, but now's not the time. New city, new roommate, new job... digital cable. Everythings are coming up me. I got the New Pornographers, the Wrens, Okkervil River... so much to tell you internet, and I will. I swear I'll be better. But right now I have to run because this computer has a wierd keyboard configuration that is driving me cuckoo and Heroes is on. But we'll catch up soon. We should get a drink sometime.

Sincerely,
The Ghost
